Gray Hardie board siding and contrasting white trim provide curb appeal and virtually maintenance free upkeep. The wrought iron fence adds privacy and security, while breaking up the neutral exterior.

Four children and parents that love to cook and entertain their extended family necessitated a large kitchen with lots and lots of storage. The couple’s children are learning to cook and like to help prep vegetables while Mom makes meals. The large island is a favorite place to complete homework and enjoy an afternoon snack while going over the day’s events.

Shelves with overhead lighting as well as recessed lights in the ceiling and drop down twin drum-shaped fixtures compliment the white cabinets and stainless steel appliances without seeming cold and commercial. The criss-cross tiled backsplash breaks up the linear elements of the kitchen. An eat-in dining area boasts a bench with additional storage for infrequently used platters and holiday items.

The fully-functional fireplace is both cozy and decorative, providing a conversation area where guests and family members gather. Hidden behind the large mirror above the fireplace is a large flat screen TV. The entry way has been given a wall treatment to enlarge the smaller space, while a coat closet gives guests easy access. A second living room on the upper floor has built-in shelving for books and accessories. The shelves flank a second fireplace.

The master bath remodel allowed the couple to enjoy a soaking tub, separate corner shower with 3/8” glass enclosure, overhead rain feature and shelves for shampoos and gels. Soft gray paint compliments the marbleized tile surrounding the tub and lining the shower. The oversized vanity provides lots of storage for toiletries and small appliances. Three bedrooms complete the upper floor, the master enjoying a large walk-in closet and unique alcove window treatment to provide visual impact.

In this whole home remodel, we also converted the neglected basement area into a functional family room with wet bar, and space for a gaming table, wall-mount TV and another small bathroom, as well as a functional laundry room.
